Got Questions?
Frequently Asked
The most common questions we get on each of our specialty services — exhaust,
glass chip repair, headliner repair, and interior trim work.
How long does a custom exhaust build take?
A bolt-on cat-back or axle-back install is usually a half-day in the bay.
A full custom fabrication with mandrel-bent stainless, TIG welds, and a
road-test pass typically takes one to two business days.
Will my custom exhaust still pass NH inspection and emissions?
Yes — when built correctly. We retain the catalytic converter, keep all
OBD-compatible oxygen sensors in place, and design every system to satisfy
New Hampshire’s annual safety and OBD-II inspection. We do not build
cat-deletes or test-pipe setups for street vehicles.
Can I get a louder tone without highway drone?
Yes. Drone is the resonance you hear at cruise — usually between 1,800 and
2,800 RPM. We tune it out with the right combination of resonator placement,
muffler chamber design, and pipe diameter.
Do you offer a warranty on welds and installation?
Every fabrication and installation we perform carries a 12-month workmanship
warranty covering welds, hangers, and clamps. Manufacturer warranties on parts
pass through to you per the brand’s terms (typically 1–3 years).
What sizes of windshield chips can be repaired vs need replacement?
We repair chips smaller than a quarter — bullseye, star, combination, and
partial bullseye breaks — as long as the damage hasn’t penetrated the inner
glass layer and isn’t directly in the driver’s line of sight. Cracks longer
than 6 inches typically require a full replacement instead.
How long does a chip repair take and is it covered by insurance?
Most chip repairs are completed in 30 minutes or less. Many comprehensive auto
insurance policies cover chip repair with no deductible because it’s far
cheaper than a windshield replacement. Bring your policy info and we can
help confirm coverage.
Can you repair a sagging headliner without removing it from the car?
In most cases, yes. We use professional re-adhesion techniques and specialty
headliner adhesive to bond the fabric back to the foam-backed panel without
removing the headliner board. If the foam backing has fully failed or the
fabric itself is torn, a full re-cover is the better long-term fix.
How long does headliner repair take and how long does the fix last?
Headliner re-adhesion is typically a same-day service. A full re-cover
takes longer depending on vehicle size and material choice. Done correctly
with the right adhesive and prep, repairs hold for many years — far
longer than parts-store spray adhesives. Send us photos for a written estimate.
Can cracked plastic interior trim actually be repaired?
Yes. We use plastic welding and structural epoxy to bond cracked door cards,
dash panels, and console pieces back together. After structural repair, we
color-match the refinish to the OEM color and apply a textured topcoat so
the repair blends invisibly into the surrounding panel.
Will a trim repair match the OEM color and texture?
We custom-mix the color to your vehicle’s interior using OEM color codes
whenever available, and apply a graining compound to recreate the factory
texture. On most jobs the repair is invisible to anyone who didn’t already
know about the damage.
