Self-Healing Paint Protection

Avid is an authorized Stek USA installer. Stek's DynoShield gloss and DynoMatte satin films deliver the world's most advanced TPU paint protection — engineered to disappear, built to take a hit, and backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty.

Our Partner

Why we partner
with Stek.

Stek USA makes the most advanced thermoplastic urethane paint protection film on the market. We chose them because the chemistry, optical clarity, and warranty back-up are uncompromising — and because the Stek partner network is a short list, not a free-for-all.

Authorized installer · Derry, NH

Every Stek install we deliver is registered with the manufacturer, performed in our climate-controlled bay, and finished by techs who have been through Stek's installer program. The film, the warranty, and the install all carry the same name.

  • 01

    Advanced TPU Formulation

Stek's proprietary thermoplastic urethane stays optically clear, resists yellowing, and self-heals light scratches with ambient heat or warm water.

  • 02

    10-Year Manufacturer Warranty

Every install is registered directly with Stek USA. Coverage spans yellowing, cracking, bubbling, and delamination — honored at any authorized installer nationwide.

  • 03

    Global Brand, Local Install

You get the same film trusted on hypercars and OEM programs worldwide — installed by a Derry-based shop with a name and a phone number you can call.

Film Options

Two finishes.
One uncompromising film.

DynoShield and DynoMatte share the same self-healing 4-layer construction and the same 10-year warranty. The only thing that changes is the topcoat — and the way your car looks when light hits it.

Satin Matte Finish

Same protection. Different attitude.

  • Transforms gloss factory paint into an OEM-style satin matte

Construction

A self-healing shield
you'll never see.

Stek PPF is a clear urethane film that lives between your paint and the road. Rock chips, road debris, sap, and bug etching stop at the film — not the clear coat. Warm sun or warm water, and swirl marks vanish on their own.

01
Self-Healing Topcoat
Stek's elastomeric polymer re-flows with heat, erasing light swirls and scratches without polishing.
02
TPU Urethane Film
The impact layer — ~8 mil of Stek's proprietary thermoplastic urethane that absorbs stone strikes and road debris.
03
Acrylic Adhesive
Optically clear bond engineered to remove cleanly — no residue on your paint, even years later.
04
Your Paint
Untouched. When the Stek film eventually comes off, your factory finish is still underneath.

Our Process

Five steps.
No shortcuts.

Every Stek install follows the same disciplined sequence. The difference between a good install and a great one lives in the prep — and the quiet inspection that follows.

  1. Consultation & Walk-Around

We document existing condition with you and recommend Stek DynoShield or DynoMatte plus the coverage tier that fits how you actually drive.

  2. Decontamination & Prep

Paint is deep-washed, clay-barred, and chemically decontaminated. One grain of dust under Stek film becomes permanent — we don't accept that risk.

  3. Pattern Cutting

Plotter-cut from digital patterns matched to your exact make, model, and year — never knife-cut on the paint. Zero blade-to-clear-coat risk.

  4. Controlled Application

Installed in a clean, climate-controlled bay. Stek film is sprayed, squeegeed, and wrapped around panel edges with heat — no seams, no lifting.

  5. QC & Warranty Activation

Every panel inspected under controlled light, your Stek 10-year warranty registered with the manufacturer, and aftercare walked through before keys go back.

Why Avid

The install you won't

Every install registered directly with Stek USA — honored at any authorized installer nationwide.

FAQ

Questions we
get all the time.

How long does Stek paint protection film last? +
Stek PPF carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling, and delamination. With normal care, most installs outlast that warranty by several years.
What's the difference between DynoShield and DynoMatte? +
DynoShield is Stek's flagship high-gloss PPF — it preserves your factory paint with a clear, self-healing topcoat. DynoMatte transforms gloss paint into an OEM-style satin matte finish while offering the same 10-year self-healing protection. Both share the same 4-layer urethane construction; only the topcoat finish differs.
PPF vs. ceramic coating — which should I get? +
Different jobs. Ceramic coatings give chemical and UV protection with a glossy, hydrophobic finish. PPF gives physical impact protection against rock chips, road debris, and bug etching. The ideal build is Stek PPF on high-impact panels (full front) plus ceramic on everything else.
Can I get PPF over an existing ceramic coating? +
Not over. The ceramic must be removed from panels getting film — Stek's adhesive needs direct contact with paint to bond properly. After the film is installed, we re-coat the film itself with a PPF-rated ceramic so you get the best of both worlds.
Will PPF damage my paint when removed? +
No. Stek's optically clear acrylic adhesive is engineered to remove cleanly without residue, even after years on the car. When the film eventually comes off, your factory finish is untouched — that's the whole point of paint protection film.
How long does the install take? +
Partial front takes about a day. Full front runs 1 to 2 days. A full-body wrap takes 3 to 5 days, depending on panel count and complexity. We give you an exact timeline with your quote.
